The International Lonely Bouquet Day comes to Dunstable on Saturday 29th June 2013
To celebrate this fantastic day and make someone smile. On Saturday the 29th June I will be placing a small bouquet of flowers in a shop or on a market stall in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. There will be a 'tag' on it with instructions. Follow these instructions and the bouquet will be yours to keep for FREE.
Have fun and take care while wandering around Dunstable tomorrow looking for the bouquet. All we ask is you either post on this blog, or on our facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/AboutDunstable.Bedfordshire?ref=hl where you found it. And also leave a message on: http://www.fleuropean.com/ Who created this wonderful idea.

"Return of the Duck"
On the 21st of June the infamous Duck was reutned to its rightful place on the 'Church Street Bridge'.
We have had some information with regard to the "Duck" from Cllr Nigel Young, it was he who also commissioned and therefore has restored the all new Duck to the Duck Bridge to it’s historical place in Dunstable legend....
~ "We couldn’t put the ducks on the parapet as, ridiculously, BAM Nuttal said it might affect the integrity of the concrete (can’t see it myself).
Original Duck sadly passed away a) because it was paper and b) because it was stuck onto half a ton of steel cut from the old bridge and too heavy to mount.
But – New bridge, new ducks – and part of the continuing economic regeneration of Dunstable"

Dunstable Live in Grove House Gardens on 15th June 2013
Once again Dunstable Town Council put on another splendid display for Dunstable Live. There were many live acts raising the spirits of thousands of people from in and around Dunstable. Plus many more had travelled miles to this FREE event. Here's looking forward to Dunstable's next 'Live Music Event' in Grove House Gardens.
Dunstable Mayor Councillor John Chatterley opened this amazing Live Music Event in front of thousands of people, who all spent a fantastic afternoon and evening enjoying great bands, singers and their music!
